I was hoping for " in the navy " and agree with Simons comments.
He must be really gay as he saluted with his left hand. His right was probably suffering from JO fatigue !!

FYI - Why is when people all think sailors are Pufftas, will fathers not leave us alone with their daughters and husbands their MILFs?

FYI - Your worlds greatest navy has only had the title effective since its adoption of the carrier ( a British invention ) and subsequently the use of heavy jets by the adoption of the steam catapult and arrest wire system ( a British invention ). Also the high lift capability using the angled flight deck that doubles the launch capability of the carrier ( oh --- another British invention ). Effectively only since Dec 7th 1941 did it start to fight for the title and not receive the crown at a period between the Korean and Vietnam wars based upon pure weight of numbers and use of jet carrier battle groups. The use of the Nuclear power plant was in truth, genius.

True greatness however, should be measured on longevity with achievement so I still rate the Royal Navy, even in its diminished form, as being rated the greatest navy of all time. Established by Henry VIII by William Hawkins and carried on by his son Sir John Hawkins ( the destroyer of the Armada NOT Drake ) under Elizabeth and the first person to use the Navy to project trade and protect same. This was the key to the rise of the British Empire. So that makes 400yrs plus and not less than 70 for the US. Call me in 300 yrs and see where we are !

On modern wars and projection of power, the US used missiles and the Chinese uses Wal Mart. We live in interesting times

Doesn't look like this incident is going away. Another ship, USS Ruben James (FFG-57), Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate, was denied entry into Hong Kong for New Years. Everyone should be aware that China, not Hong Kong, controls the harbor, and controls what Hong Kong can and cannot do. Oh well, HK is China's city, and better get used to it. But I support China's right to take charge of Hong Kong, and what Beijing does is fine with me.
