I eventually managed to get a UKnova account and have been downloading everything I can. This also introduced me to the whole 'torrent' thing (bit of a 'laggard' I guess!).. Thanks for the tip!

Does UKnova offer anything that I cannot get with a normal search on bittorrent?, i.e. if I could not get access to UKnova could I find the downloads through a normal torrent search?

I'm no way a techie but once you've bit torrent you can access anything already popular - 'cept perhaps TV shows that are really old, then I need to rummage around.

My fav shows:

House (H. Laurie's delectable!)
Supernatural
Office
Sketch Show
In Search of Perfection
anything Nigella Lawson (yummy...)
Entourage
Nip/Tuck
Heroes
Ugly Betty
Grey's Anatomy

Sometimes download whole seasons on the harddrive but don't quite get round to watching them all. All the same, beats the endless repeats on TV. When I've more time, will look into others' recommendations here - E.g. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" sounds intriguing - comedy?

Anything else perky sharp & refreshing?

Check "Pushing Daisies", "Chuck", and "Burn Notice". Those are pretty much the cream out of this strike shortened crop.

BTW, you should all check out the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series. It is hands down the best show on TV, which has unfortunately been burdened with the "sci-fi" tag.

If you liked Seinfeld, you'll like this. Another 'show about nothing', from the creator of Seinfeld, Larry David, about his own life and the mundane details that he can make seem humorous. Personally, too much like Seinfeld, though it was a nice fix for a time after Seinfeld was over. Done on HBO.

Mine would be:

Entourage
Lost

The Kiwi series "Outrageous F" & "Insider's Guide..." sound worth delving into, as are the curious Aussie titles - easy to access them online? Or, is there a quicker website / route?

Yeah, am also highly tickled by the waspy wit of the Top Gear guys & their battling antics (though an over-cautious, infrequent driver myself!).

Thanks all, for the pointers. "Curb Your..." may also be my cuppa tea as I'm into a bit of neuroticism Any others I've missed?

P.S. Ahhh... Wish "Six Feet Under" was around, too.

What site do you get the OZ and Kiwi shows on? I've never seen them on the sites I usually use.
