Thumbs down Current China visa prices for US

I've recently moved to HK from mainland China and am noticing how expensive visas are now for Americans. I think the price for single and double entry visas are 780 HKD 3 weeks ago and now as I search online, they are now 140 USD or above.

Anybody know about these changes and how politics change prices for US citizens?

i'm guessing that is roughly how much the US charges for US visas for Chinese citizens.

it's the same for UK citizens, we pay quite a bit more for our visas, cause the UK charges roughly the same for Chinese wanting to come to the UK.

Price still seems to be $780 at the China Embassy

Multiple entry visa?

I received a double entry visa last time I went to the China Immigration office and was told multiple entry visas in HK for US citizens cannot be obtained in HK.

Any way around this besides getting one from the US?

Thanks for the link to the consular office!

I think if you have a HK ID card you can get a multiple.

It's strange though given that he posted 3 months ago claiming to have moved here.
