Cool Proactiv in Hong Kong? or some other acne remover suggestion

I'm asking for a coworker who sometimes gets pimples. She thinks its from too many people smoking around her amongst other things. Is that stuff proactiv sold in Hong Kong or do any of you recommend a better product?

Proactiv is not sold in Hong Kong.

There are tropical creams such as Clindamycin, Erythromycin, Tetracycline, Metronidazole and Tretinoin (aka Retin-A) sold at local dispensaries (chemist, pharmacies). However, they can be bought without a doctor's prescription in Hong Kong I would encourage your colleague to see a dermatologist.

Tea tree oil is good for drying up acne as well.

try anything that contains 2.5% benzodyoxide, e.g. Neutrogena on-the-spot acne treatment. it's sold in watson's. it's cheap and really helps. there will be some peeling off of skin, so need to use enough moistrizer. try once a day, and if ok, twice a day.

Agreed. Proactiv contains the same active ingredient as other over the counter products. It used to be benzol peroxide (which is in the OXY products), but they may have since changed that to salicylic acid. The other ingredients on the product tend to be fillers. Therefore, in theory, any product containing the same concentration of the active ingredient should work the same, and probably be alot cheaper.

Can try Dalacin T for the on-the-spot type treatments of those mountainous bastards.
Can you tell I have a bad history with them?
As a daily routine type treatment, i use Dermalogica products. I have weird skin and I tried quite a few of the regular stuff (neutrogena etc.), and they work for a period and then all of sudden , I'm back.
But dermatologist is best, everyone has different skin, and what works for one, SO DOESN'T for another.

To be quick: See a skin doctor. They will subscripe you with a special kind of Vit. A, it will stop acnes from reoccuring for many years but it has side effect and its expensive. Many of my frds have tried and the result is really good. But Im too hestitate becos I dun wanna damage my health in the future....

For safer option, change the diet, do colon cleansing and see Chinese doctor. They can help.

For skin care, oil free products and organic products are good. Recommend Aesop. For Acne line, there is a brand called Ettusais but it didnt work for me...

I have also tried the spot gel from Menard it works very good on me. Btw many recommend Aloe Vera gel.

Nothing works better for me than Proactiv. I've tried using other 2.5% benzoyl peroxide products, but they just don't work as well as Proactiv does.
