| The usual mechanism for incorporation in Hong Kong is
1) Buy a shelf company.
2) Give the company secretary (who you bought the company from) several options 3 or 4 names
3) Wait a couple of weeks and they'll handle the name change for you.
In addition to the name of the company "ABC Limited", you also have the option to where you can have a business or a trading name... say "Megacorp".. no Ltd associated with it.
You can then open your bank account under the name ABC Limited or Megacorp.
Keep in mind that the banks usually have a cooling period while they independantly verify that you own the company by doing their own company director searches. This ensures that the person who claimed to be the director, is actually a director and you're not faking documents to cash checks from other companies.
Talk to a company secretary or company formation expert .. costs about HK$2-3K to get all of this done, including setting up the bank accounts etc. |
