Mover required

hi, anyone know how much i should budget to engage a mover? Our bulky item are just a cupboard, 2 drawers, mattress, and the moving distance will be around 2 km. If u have any reliable & resonable mover to recommend, pls let me know.

many thanks!!!

We use Dave and Ben on 6192 5489, they moved our entire apartment in a full day, but pretty sure they do smaller point to point deliveries too.

Prices you'll have to ring them about, as we negotiated a full day rate ( $3800 = 8 x 30 odd km return trips ) with them.

Our previous apartment was 1089ft2 ( 3 bedroom and a maids/computer room) , they also removed some old furniture and took it to a local refuse collection point during the last trip at no extra charge also.

Cheers

If you're looking for no non-sense, affordable type of service, I recommend giving Kan (pronounced Kahn) a call. He's very straightforward, speaks English very well (and Cantonese too though he's Pakistani).

He has a van and a lorry and moved a bed frame for me from Mid-Levels to Pokfulam for around $600 HKD (including picking up, loading and moving 6 very large luggage bags from a different location).

His number is 9200-0054 / 9364-9653 (mobile). Tell him Dave (who likes coffee from Cafe de Coral) sent you.

Mover Recommendation

I had a wonderful move today with this guy

Ben

He speaks Mandarine and Cantonese, I am not sure if he speaks English ( since I speak Mandarine to him ) but you can try.

He brought another man with him and came in a big truck, within 1 hour he disassembled and reassembled the closet for shipment with a very cheap rate- so I tipped him big time as a happy customer
