Hi all,

I have seen two posts about the Lodge near Jordon MTR and I wonder if someone can comments the suite interior and the apartment building itself:

-Is the interior pretty and clean (especially bathroom and kitchen)new as shown on their website? Is the building safe and new?

-Is it so that they can only confirm availibility 2 weeks prior? They asked for a month's deposit
and full refund if no availability?

-Are there any parks/child friendly places like library? I am traveling with a 2 year old.

Hi Wooe,

I live around the corner from the Lodge...yes the building is has been totally renovated to modern standards. It is Japanese style. The kitchen is moderately modest.

Across the street on Jordan Rd. is King George V Park with a playground . Plus, there are lots of neighborhood children playing in the early evening during the afternoon tends to be toddlers and grandparents.

A short walk is Kowloon Park with a swimming complex and more playground facilities.

The Yau Ma Tei Library is a few blocks over but a majority of the stories are in Traditional Chinese - there is minimal English and other languages available.

Taking the 914 bus on Ferry Street (next street over from to the Lodge) takes you directly to Central Library in Causeway Bay right next to Victoria Park.

Frankly, speaking the Lodge can be small living space for a family especially if you plan on staying there for a longer period with a toddler.

Their price is very good considering the location (quite central). Too bad they can't confirm anything until 2 weeks prior. With a kid traveling from afar, this is too risky for us.

There is also a complex called 3 Jordan Rd which is about 3 years old and has a reasonable rate but requires a 6-month lease. However,I have noticed that it has never had full occupancy you maybe able to negotiate something with them.

There is also a new hotel which I believe has some service suites at Benito Hotel (I believe it is called) in TST but it is not opening until December.

Have you looked at Harbor Plaza at Hong Hum ... near the KCRC station - they have service suites and I actually know of a family living there with a 4 year old! http://www.harbour-plaza.com/en/inde...?hotel_id=hpme
