Does Western Union require ID for all transactions now?

Hello,

This is a very simple question. Does Western Union require an ID card for all transactions now, or do they not require ID if you send less than $8,000 HKD like before?

I seem to recall that last time I did it they asked to see ID for a smaller amount, but didn't make a copy as they do for amounts over $8,000.

When was the last time you did it? I did it back in January and they didn't ask for any ID below $8,000. But I am not sure if the rules changed or not.

They did not ask me, but I use one of their gold cards so not sure if that makes a difference.
