I am going to HK from US in next month and want to hit some clubs at that time. However, according my clubbing experience in US, I always get myself guest listed. (or you wait in the line by the time when you get to the club it almost time for the club to close) I wonder do I just do the same thing in HK as what I did in US? (To get in a guest list be able to get into the club before it closes) or just go to the club and wait in the line?

Also, what are some up scale clubs in HK? I heard some of my friends said to get into those up scale clubs, you need to have some kind of special connection. Is that true? Is there some other way to get into those clubs?

they are probably the most upscale clubs in hk, probably China.

I am assuming u are not a hiphop fan
I would recommend Volar ( my fave ), dragon-i, drop (another fave), Fever , ARmani Bar and Home Bass till 9 am sat/sun morning).
DRess code for ^^ except homebass is smart casual ( argh)
turn up before 10 pm and u should be fine , if not queue up and pay around 150 HK , could be more ..
Good music/time and workout on dancefloor guaranteed.

I think those clubs that you recommand are for members only? (Volar, dragon-i, drop, Fever , Armani Bar) I don't think I have any connection to get into those clubs

if I get to there early they let me in without membership? so all I need to do is just go there before 10 and walk in?

Armani bar you can definitely just walk in unless they have a private event. Dragoni and volar are more picky but if you dress nice and go early it can be okay. Just make sure you stick to the dress code ie no flip flops, shorts (guys).
