The only reason i'm here is because my bf got a job here and we have to moved here from australia. So currently i just pretty much decorating the house unpacking boxes, HK is very expensive to live if u dont have an income or big savings, I did applied for jobs before coming here as well but no luck. Prob because i dont have much experience as i just graduated a year a go. But they pay so little the jobs here (in fashion ) unless u've lotsssss of experience.

Its going to be very hard for you to find a job in that field, reasons below:

1. U need to speak and be able to read/write Chinese espically if you want to be a merchandiser as most factories are based in China and will need to deal with materil suppliers so you need to know the materails and parts in Chinese as well.

2. If you dont have a visa to work here, over 90% companies will not hire you as they will have to provide a visa for you which means a lot of hassle for them, merchandiers are plenty and cheap in HK so they will not go the extra effort to hire you even if you have a lot of experience as the visa deal is a big pain in the rear for them.

Good luck, I might be wrong and someone might like your CV so give it a try.
