lead-tainted chinese made lunchboxes

now flip flops made in china that contains chemicals like Thiuram and Dithiocarbamates, used to break down the rubber in the shoes causing burns and blisters....

Does it matter? There is very little manufacturing capability left in the rest of the world -- specially the US.

Cheap products are required to keep the masses happy with their income.

Everything in the world is made in China. So if 5% is crappy, it's still quite a low number compared to everything that is manufactured there.

Yet again an example of " fair and balanced " so lets just point out for Stargazer what he conveniently missed before posting this example of sensationalism.

From the article QUOTE " said that the burning sensation is most likely due to allergies to the rubber on the shoes or to the chemical components, like Thiuram and Dithiocarbamates, used to break down the rubber in the shoes.

“When you think about the large distribution, it’s not likely that it’s the chemical coating that’s extremely toxic,” Silverberg said. “It can be allergic contact dermatitis, which is an allergy to something the skin comes in contact with. There are a variety of agents that can do it in flip-flops.” UNQUOTE.

So this can come from ANY Flip Flop made anywhere in the world. MMMMmm not so much China the bad but DNA the bad.

Me I'm off down to the Mexican consulate to protest at the 50K or so toys that where declared unsafe by Mattel ( don't they ever learn ) in the US this week. Also gonna stop eating Tacos in sympathy. Not gonna eat Pakistani food in sympathy with the oppressed people. Need also to organise a picket outside TESCO offices in support of those people who have ordered their XBox360 online at GBP33.24 ( http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/...292253,00.html ) but the big brother capitalist scum are not standing by the deal ---- and on and on and on.

I take it Stargazer is not in trade. Otherwise he would have been more informed.
