Hi folks,

Im looking for a place to rent in Wan Chai or TST area...im looking for a newish place, clean and near mtr anyone got any suggestions or are living in such a place for this kind of rent??

All the estate agents are showing me old chinese buildings or flats that kinda freak me out.

Done the flat share thing twice, but didnt work out.

Don't know that you will get it as low as $8000 but I looked at one in the Grand Waterfront (2 BR) for 8800 hk. I took one that was furnished for a bit more.

The GW is in To Kwa Wan, Kowloon on the waterfront. There are lots of agents close by to the bus/ferry terminal to the west and from what I saw there were lots for rent. New building so clean.

For 8K in those two areas you mentioned you will only be taken to old buildings, It is very very unlikely that you will be get a new building for that price since property prices are still on the rise.

check out gohome.com.hk and do a search with your budget, u might not get those two areas but maybe some where close.
