Hello,

I'm traveling to Thailand late December from Hong Kong for a week and would love advice on places to go. Only have 3 days for beach- any recommendations on Koh Phuket? Not looking for a fancy resort. Or go to Krabi or Andaman coast?

Also- any thoughts on Ayuthaya vs. Sukhothai? Only have time for one of these places. In general, better to fly or take busses between cities (ie Chiang Mai to Sukhothai to Bangkok?)

I would go to Krabi, more beautiful and while u there take a boat to lanta island my bro was just there he said it was beautiful, also try sukhothai we used to take a trip there to do painting of the old temple and stuff , also there's a big buddha there to see lots of historical places maybe do some reading before going

fly is easier if u dont have much free time but busses u get to see the surrounding sight.

Probably a bit late, but might be useful for others reading this thread.

There is a nice apartment I stayed at in Phuket - above Kamala Bay. It's great for 2 couples or a small family - though a couple could spread out.

Much more laid back than a hotel but it has all the features of a resort as well.
