Does anyone has the experience with shipping a laptop from USA to HK?
Does the HK custom charge the import duty for this kind of personal shipping ?

I have a friend in HK, and he want me to buy one new laptop for him then shipping it to him.

But I don't know if this laptop would be charged tariff or not when it is shipped from USA.

Need your help.

There are no import tariffs on anything in Hong Kong except alcohol, tobacco & oil products. So no problem at all bringing a laptop.

Except of course if the parochial Yanks supply a 100/110 Volt ONLY power adaptor !

Most if not all laptops have the 100-240 range. We don't have problems with power supply for laptops or computers brought from the US, just plug in a plug adaptor & it's good to go.
