| | | Yes, I was a little surprised by the guide book saying 9 am. But figured it might be possible. | |

| | | Stanley Market Only very few (1 or 2) are open that early, ie: fruit stall and flower shops. All the clothes & bric a brac don't start to open till 10am or even later. I'ts safe to say that
by 11am they are all set up and running.

| | | Actually, there are shops open from 9, 9:30 like the shoe shops etc but most open around 10. Try to go in the morning as on weekends it gets crazy in the afternoon. Especially at the moment, there are a lot of tourists (school holidays in Europe). | |

| | | If it's purely for the shopping in the market, you can get most of the stuff in The Lanes in Central.
There is something nice about going down to Stanley and fighting the crowds and ending up with a dodgy pair of skiing salopettes in July. A good beer on the waterfront afterwards makes it all worthwhile (when I say waterfront I mean the bit that used to be a waterfront but is now not.....).

| | | I am leading tourists around and Stanley Market does a better job of getting the word out in guide books. If I bring them around Central to buy the same stuff, they will leave assuming they could have done better in Stanley.
And we will be hitting the ex-waterfront pubs.
