Age and Sex discrimation have laws but race discrimation I dont think they have any laws on that yet in HK so putting someones CV in the bin or at the bottom of the pile, I dont think they are breaking any laws and u cant do much about it unless your company is a Expat run Co then maybe u could talk to the boss. I have heard of CV's being rejected, thrown or put at the bottom of the pile as well but you cant do anything about it. Most HR are told to do this by management or whoever is in management and is a local person. They try to elimanate the threat before it becomes a real threat. Job security. Most foriegners could probably do a better job then them so they try to get rid of the threat. This is what I think is happening, maybe i am wrong. Who knows. Life goes on.
