Bear Stearns has cut 300 jobs to reduce costs, as the fifth-largest US investment bank continues to deal with the summer's credit turmoil that swept through Wall Street. | |

| | | and any market player would know that this is only a beginning - the credit turmoil has only so far shown a tip of the iceberg - banks are still to mark to market their credit portfolio and it will hurt one after the other until a weaker one goes under, triggering another wave of default and systemic risk - Hang seng at 30,000 is a joke considering the current circunstances - pocket the money while you can and sit tight with your cash. | |

| | | Merrills Goldman - conservative? Er no. They are effectively a hedge fund masquerading as an I Bank who no longer trade for clients but on a purely Prop basis. They seem to be one step ahead of the competition - how they do that is another question and I don't believe it is wholly to do with the people working there. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8.
