As far as MLB Baseball, many countries have professional / semi-professional leagues (i.e. Japan) which never get a shot at any MLB team prior to the "World Series." Besides when the "World Series" first started not only did the teams not have foreign players but African Americans couldn't play either. So let's not get all defensive.
