There was quite a big "Comic World" fair on 26th August this year over in Eastern Kowloon. I guess that's an annual event...

Some pics of this years event here btw. Why didn't they have "cosplayers" when I was younger?

HK doesn't really do online shopping as the locals don't trust or want to use it, they'd rather go out and shop for it in person.

Freak99... Was just replying to similar thread you started!

I am not into collecting action figures but seen lots of very small hobby shops that sell mainly Jap anime characters but also movie-related or Marvel ones too.

For such stuff, HK locals go to 2 places in Mongkok:

Richmond Arcade, in old, fire-hazard Richmond Commercial Bldg. on 109-111 Argyle Street.

There are basement and 2-3 other floors that are full of narrow shop spaces, with see-through boxes of: Transformers, Bat Man (Joker etc), Hulk, Spider-Man, Superman, Fantastic 4, Cap. America, Alien V. Predator, Star Wars, LOTR, even model luxury cars and old buses, etc.

Spawn... I think saw a few in shop #215 (2/F), priced around HKD 280-380.

The other place is in Sino Centre on Nathan Road, Mongkok.

Comics, accesories... tons of Jap anime otaku stuff, but a handful of old Marvel titles in cardboard boxes (try second floor)... CDs/DVDs, and some shops selling U.S. action figures like at Richmond, but less less range. Saw no Spawn there.

Although Iron Man is very popular in the cinema now (great movie ), no figures in any shops yet.

Most items are collectables??? but you need to go look yourself. There are cheaper paint-it-yourself copies everywhere. Go there after lunchtime because it is very crowded. Both places close around 9 or 10pm.

Happy browsing.
