I am so happy you benefited from my post. I think I can answer of give help to you.

Every time you come from Shenzhen to Hong Kong you receive another 30 day stamp in your passport. Which Country are you from having a 30 day passport stamp? I crossed the border many times but like you already get the feeling, there is no guarantee of anything.

I have never tried to apply for a longer stay on my tourist visa actually other then coming from Shenzhen back into Hong Kong and only pulled aside once. While I wouldn't officially recommend doing what I did, I am here with a HKID card now. Of course there is a potability you can be refused entry, I think this also has to do with what Country you are from and how close you are to the end of the 30 days.

Your registration of marriage is no guarantee you will receive a dependency visa, marriage is no automatic right to dependency as I found out. They need to see that your partner can financially support you here. They will want to see bank statements, evidence of work, that you are living somewhere and of course your marriage certificate. They also want to be sure that you aren't here in Hong Kong for 'other reasons' other then your partner. The length this process takes depends how often you get down to Wan Chai, they will probably see you again next two weeks to a month time from the time you went before - so each time you go really try hard to provide all the documentation they asked for.

If it is any consolation, I found this very difficult myself.

Thanks again, I guess I'll try to go Shen zhen because I ve something that must do in shen zhen, I'll go to shen zhen with my fiancee. See If i can safely re-enter Hk, anyway I still have to go macao on end of month.

For dependant visa, is there any limit of income for my sponsor to apply dependant visa for me?
Right now my fiancee have full time work in hong kong, but she still live with her father at government public house. After I success apply Hk Id we will buy a property.
Thanks again

In fact you're wrong, you said:
You are trying to stay and work on a tourist visa , which is against the law...
I just want apply when my business will be strong enough for the immigration, otherwise i will be refused like a lot.
And if you had read well my message i haven't plan to stay in HK without any visa for a next year.
MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm You would have to say that wouldn't you. Never know if IMG looking in you may think.

Those of us that have set up businesses and come here know different and its very easy to spot the " fakers " . Sorry, but your words are empty to me, having done everything in the way I have said you should have done.

If your spending time setting up your business, your working , period. So don't whinge about being caught. Maybe you thought you might stay under the radar and avoid paying taxes.

They got you though and now your on your way home.

I think it is a good idea to try crossing the border again, good idea (this wont work forever, but a few times it might buy you a little time). As far as minimum income, they are essentially looking to see that your partner can financially support the two of you (hence the title 'dependent'). When you receive this visa you will have all the privileges of working, studying etc - but even though you will in the future be able to work they want to see now that your partner can support the two of you. I am in a similar situation financially to you so I understand - quite hard.

I don't know a minimum amount of income they want to see, but if they take into consideration that you both live in lower spending habits and so on - maybe you could just make an enquiry at Immigration (not at the department where you would get a visa, just at the enquiry area).

Just came back from wanchai immigration tower.
Got my visa extended for one month, and the officer said i can cross the border next month to prolong my visa and show the imo the receipt, but if your marriage registration still have long time to do they might tell you to go home and come back later for that time.
