| | | Anyone interested in Volunteering? Hey All!
Would anyone be interested in joining a volunteer group sponsored by the YMCA? I am working for the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong and we are trying to get a group of foreigners together to volunteer with the YMCA a couple times a month. It would entail working with children, the elderly, hearing impaired, etc. If anyone is interested, PM me and I can give you more details. It's a great way to meet people, both local and foreign. Anyways, let me know! Thanks!

| | | Ah...yes. But they are two different YMCAs. Mine is the CHinese YMCA of Hong Kong and ALBYs is the Hong Kong YMCA...lol. They are different. Plus, mine is for work, we are writing a proposal to get the group together and giving it to the executive secretary to approve. So, i was seeing what the interest was out there...which right now doesnt look too strong....lol | |

| | | There are about three or four dozen volunteer groups looking for volunteers.
Unfortunately ... they're all competing against each other, often for the same cause.
rba - you should meet up with Alby .. .who is probably going to meet up with me ... and we'll see what we can do to bring some co-ordination within our community. | |
