| Raising Funds to start a library in Nepal Can you help? The gents over at Batgung are raising US$10,000 for the 'Room to Read' charity. Enough to build a school library for a village in Nepal, stock it with books, and provide support & training. Think what that means - the children's current future is to grow up learning in a school without any printed books. Together we can change that. You can follow progress with the "Raising Money" ticker on the right of your screen. We've already made a donation on behalf of GeoExpat. Would appreciate all the help you can give us to reach the target, with a donation of your own? Next steps: - Donate! (NB remember it's in US$, not HK$): http://www.firstgiving.com/batgung - Learn more: http://www.batgung.com/library

| We'll triple your donation We'll both match any donation you make until we've reached the US$10K target. eg if you donate US$100, we'll both donate the same amount so the library fund gets a total US$300. With your help we want to hit the US$10K target by the end of the month. Cheers, MrB & Mr Tall PS A big thankyou to Shri for helping promote this. |

| It would be good to have some background info rather than "some village in Nepal". A bit more convincing. |

| Background: http://www.roomtoread.org/ There is no designated village. Once funds are raised, they will be allocated towards a project that is pending.

| Thanks indeed! With your help we've shot past the half-way mark. If you're interested to see how Room to Read got started, there's a good summary on Oprah's website. The founder John Wood appeared on her show back in April. |

| Quick note folks .. you don't need to donate hundreds. Even a few dollars does not hurt. Would appreciate if a few more folks step up, so that I don't have to resort to emotional blackmail.
