That sounds pretty cool. Gonna go google it now. Wanna check out the wholesale clothing market too? I need some XXL and 3XL T's. I could use some socks and jeans too...

Next time you go to Shenzhen let me know. I went there friday by myself because I just got my visa and wanted to use it. Would feel more comfortable walking around with some guys. Just send me a message next time you want to go there. I live in tai po so it's only 20 mins train to lo wu.

We actually didn't find the wholesale garment market, but I hear that there is export quality stuff available. I found a couple of t-shirts I liked, but they didn't have 'em in my size. One was a XL and the other was a 3XL. lol. We did have a great time though. Michelle, when you read this, send me those pics or send me a link to your blog :P Chicagolife, you're more than welcome to come along the next time we head out there.

best way to shenzen?

hey there, hope someone can help. it's been three years since i last visited SZ and i was living in hk then . i now live in macau and have some guests wanting to visit SZ but apart from going all the way to the lowu border via the kcr interchange in hunghom (as i used to do), is there any other way you can recommend? i remember the train being packed and the line at the border insanely long and slow, is this still the case? really appreciate any info.

If you're in Macau you can take a ferry direct to Shekou, see attached file (formatted for PDA). Note that some ferries leave from the 'Yuet Tung' terminal.

If you're in HK the Western Corridor/SZ Bay or Lok Ma Chau crossings are alternatives.
