Hi,
I have another question for my fellow expat shopping experts. Anybody know where to buy a small electronic scale with digital readout? The ones you can find in an average high school chemistry lab that can measure from 1g to something like 2kg or 5kg? Ideally if someone knows a location near central,that would be best. Thanks for any help anyone can give!

Try Ikea's kitchenware section I think it is around HK$300. Otoh if you could figure out how to get to the shops listed below it would cost you ~HK$100 for the one im using which measures anything up to 5Kg and great for cake making.

I bought a small digital scale for cooking at CitySuper in the IFC. I don't remember the exact price but it was around 200-300 HKD.

thanks for all the help. i stopped by ikea today and picked up one for a little under 300. They had a cheaper plastic one for like 60 but it looked pretty flimsy and easy to break so i went with the more expensive metal one. thanks again!
