I will be moving to Guangzhou in a month and we will be there for approx 2 years, my husband is already there, are there any expat communities there as my husband tells me he has not met anyone yet and has only seen 2 westerners but he has only been there a few weeks.

Compared to Hong Kong, there are not many expats in Guangzhou. But there is a very small community and some international clubs. Check out one of the Guangzhou expat sites and magazines (for example guangzhou.asiaxpat.com and www.thatsmags.com) to get more info.

I believe you could meet quite a lot of foreigners if you go to the district Tian He (in Mandarin) or Tin hoh (in Cantonese).
