| | | Looking for evangelical christian churches in ShaTin area Dear all:
We are new to Hong Kong and we live on Chinese University of HK campus. We would like to find a friendly, family oriented and evangelical christian church. Would any of you have recommendations? Thank you very much!

| | | How is your search? Hi Grace,
How is your search for a Church going? I am going to a Church in Kowloon Tong at the moment, still praying about if it is a place my wife and I can settle in. I am finding it hard to find a Christian Church with a strong Missions zeal through the people there - I get the feeling this is asking too much.
God bless | |

God bless | Hi,
We go to IBC in Aberdeen. They have a strong mission zeal there. The church is planning a mission trip to India. But it might be too far for you.

Cheers! | Are there English services at this Church? I would be very curious to find out more. I am looking for a Church that has Ministries to and for English speakers and Cantonese speakers. I am a native English speaker, but my wife is a local Cantonese speaker (with fantastic English, Cantonese is certainly her preference).
If my wife was here I would show her, she is in New Zealand (we are apart for 6 weeks, I miss her so much).

Both of them are good. | I have never come across this Church. When you say Kowloon, do you mean Kowloon district or "Kowloon"? What area? (Any plans to start in New Territories )

I find there is a certain inescapable status with English speaking Church's over local Chinese Church's because of the class difference. In this I am asking, "What kind of local Hong Kong Chinese speak English?" Generally wealthy 'well-to-do' types who are very well educated, either locally or aboard. This is not always the case but often. Where the Chinese Church's the class distinction is not defined by the spoken language because it is the standard. I find those with comforts are less inclined to give all and go. What do people think? Has anyone had experience in local Chinese Church's?

Can't we just put all you God delusionists in a walled off space somewhere and let you just beat each other up without inflicting the consequences on the rest of us? | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 12:38 PM.
