Hi,

I currently live in Repluse Bay with my husband and two kids, 9 and 14. We've been living in Hong Kong for 7 years and for all the time living in Hong Kong, we lived in Repulse Bay. Our lease now is going up, so we are browsing for houses/apartments.

Today, we went to Discovery Bay for lunch and I was thoroughly impressed. It was very convenient and seemed to be quite westernized and clean.

I have a few concernes though, my two kids go to school in Aberdeen and there's a bus going to Discovery Bay. I'm fine with my 14 year old and my 9 year old travelling together but some days my 14 year old has to stay at school for afterschool activities and my 9 year old usually comes home. I'm somewhat uncomfortable with sending him on the ferry on his own on those types of days. Does anyone have the same situation?

Another one is, how early do your children need to wake up each morning to go to school?


If you have any overall comments about Discovery Bay please share them with me. Any pros/cons?
