I am planning to come and look for a job on a tourist visa. I understand that my new employing company needs to sponsor me eventually for an employment visa.

I work in PR and Marketing.

Can you give me some idea of how long after finding a job it takes a company to get an employment visa?

I'm a British citizen, btw.

Between about 4 and 8 weeks depending on whether the company ahs done it before, how efficient they are producing paeprwork and whether you are obviously a good candidate for a visa.

The difficult bit is finding an employer who will be happy to sponsor you for such a visa (and a job which they will be able to justify using a foreigner for).
