I heard that there is a Fire Dragon Dance Parade in Tai Hang (no idea where that is! haha)
I also heard that ppl like to go to the park (victoria park? kowloon park) and hang out, look at the moon, eat mooncake. but it seems like a really family thing.

Races

A few of us are also planning to head over to Happy Valley to catch the races on Wed.

Message me if you want more info.

If anyone's doing anything on Wednesday that's more festive..let me know as well...would love to "experience" the festival.

A couple of my friends were just talking about this at the weekend. Let me know if you are definitely doing this? I might tag along.

Cheers

Tai Hang is right across the tram track from Victoria Park. If you can find Queen's College, you'll see signs (probably in Chinese though) to the Fire Dragon Parade. I've seen it once, very impressive, definitely a can't-miss especially if you are new to HK.

i think to experience it properly you have to start back when the gates of hell open (a month ago), spend the month burning offerings and being nice to your elderly relatives, eat A LOT of moon cake, and then celebrate on tuesday night when the ghosts go back, the moon shines full, accident rates drop and everything goes back to normal.
