Single, mid-20s female moving to HK

Hi,

I posted something similar in one of the "Moving to HK" forums but wanted to "repost" here - I am a single female in her mid-20s, currently living in NYC but relocating to HK for work (lawyer) as of 7 October.

Just looking for a few people keen on meeting up, eating, drinking, going "on the lash" and having a raging good time while making friends as well! I assume that when I start work, I'll be beasted to death and might not have time to make proper friends so I'm trying to be pre-emptive and meet people before I head out there. Anyhow, if you think you'd be up for a proper meal, a good, hard run, a nice day on the beach, or a nice, cold G&T (or several) definitely give me a "shout out".

Cheers,

Alexis

Alexis,

Welcome to HK. Join us for ladies' nite dinner. We normally have one dinner once a month. And you'll definitely meet lots of ladies.

Hello!

I just moved to Hong Kong and will be here for the next 3 years. I don't have any friends so far and would love to make couple of friends.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Welcome

It is nice to see a post from someone who is genuinely excited about moving to Hong Kong.

I was starting to get a bit worried that the world was going soft, when people are posting worrying queries regarding where they will run into triads, if Hong Kong has the right toilet paper, is there a bus that runs to Central, how much electricity costs and will their hair dryer work in Hong Kong.

You are going to do well here. Welcome.

Cheers!

re: Alby

Hi Alby:

I will not be able to make it tonight, but I will do my best to attend the next event. This seems to be a good way to find new friends here. Otherwise, I will be sitting at home on the weekends.
