Cockroaches in the kitchen

Help... I'm seeing quite a few of these every night in our kitchen. They always seem to appear from the cupboard under the kitchen sink. I've tried to block as many of the holes where the pipes come in as possible, but the problem seems to have got progressively worse...

What are my options? Please bear in mind that we have a 20 month old child and my wife is pregnant with a second one...

Thanks in advance

you need to take a trip down to your local parknshop and get some 'motels' to place near where you think the little buggers are popping up....what's hapening is that they are laying eggs which is probably why it is getting worse....alternatively call in a specialist once a year to go over the place which is maybe the best bet for you.

If you put those little bait thingies (is that what you call a motel?) under your bin, under your fridge, under your sink and under anything that has an under in you kitchen, you should be rid of all cockroaches in a few weeks. There's poison in the bait that cockroaches bring back to the nest and that kills off the rest of the family...
It works real well. That and putting sticky tape over any drain-holes you might have on the ground.
