English Tutoring

Hi,

My husband is retired and would like to do private English tutoring at home.

Anyone knows how to get students and what's the hourly rate?

Thanks!

My husband is thinking to offer English courses to those secondary students and adults. I can ask him if he would like to take kids too. But we're living in Tai Po...probably quite far away from where you're living though. Anyway, let me know if you are still interested.

I think it depends, if your husband is white skin colour and native English speaker that well help. (some people can be quite biased)

Rate depends on area teaching. Some people will not teach for less than $450 an hour, some $100 will do. If you are pitching to poor areas/estates don't expect $100. If your husband wants to do this for serious money hit the middle class at $450 an hour. You may think it sounds expensive but it is the going rate for the good tutors. If someone sees that rate they have an impression you charge that much because you are good.

i can be the expert on its^^

I am a f.7 student.

the range is large for the fee,
but 1 pt is very important:
ur student is mainly students( facing public exam)

After ur student get A in public Exam, more & more student will join, but otherwise, no student will do so, as they are worry about u have no experience.
