Curious - Did you get a SCART to S-Video connector?

We connected directly the nowtv box to the DVD recorder... I am not sure to understand your question?

The Thomson dvd recorder that you have, has a big black plug that connects to the back of it which has 21 connector pins inside of it.. the other end would have had a :

S- Video out lead
S Video in lead
A composite Video out lead ( Yellow )
A composite Video in lead ( Yellow )
a pair of stereo out leads ( audio )
a pair of stereo in leads ( audio )
and you might have also had

Red Green Blue Component out video leads
Red Green Blue Component video input leads.

Anyway, it would have been a big bunch of leads connected to the main plug that you connected to the Thomson, which is known as A/ a 21 pin Scart connector or B/ a Euro connector....

Main thing at the moment is, that it works and you are recording TV shows on the recorder .

My recorder has a component cable to Plasma TV tuner (e.g. AV2). If I connect the now-tv to the recorder via the AV and S-video, I have to switch on the recorder(not standby mode) if I want to see now-tv program, right? Can I have a AV adaptoe which has 2 AV outputs, one to TV tuner and the other to recorder?

Something like this .. and then you can connect two normal s-video cables into this.

It seems like Mr Knowitall, only knows some of it all, if you take a closer look, the Now TV box has 2 sets of out put on the back, you can simply take the Second AV output of the NowTV box, and connect it to the AV input on your video, Done.
Adding this bit of knowledge to Mr Know it Alls note book should take him closer to Utopia.
