Mobile Phone Help!!!!

Im sure this has been asked many times but here goes anyway......
I am wanting to sign up for a 12 month mobile phone contract as Im sure its a lot cheaper than my pre-paid sim. What I want is something that is fairly cheap and that simply makes calls and sends sms messages efficiently and without too many problems! I know that many providers have free call minutes packages but as I tend to text a lot and dont really call a lot I would prefer to have a package which is catered towards this. So although many offer lots of free call minutes a month, I probably wouldnt use them all! All my calls and sms would mainly be local.

Any suggestions?

I had a look at Vodafone, Three, Pccm, CSL....

I am on the 3 network, which is Hutchinsons, I pay $67 per month, 900 minutes of free talk time, sms is standard of course, personalised music dial tone between 3 user to user. My missus and I run both our phones through 3, and found them to offer the best deal going.

You'll need a HKID to sign up to a HK mobile phone provider though, or they'll ask you for a hefty up front security deposit, from what i have heard.

What you will find is that networks will offer free intra-network sms' so if your friends are all on, say, Vodafone then go with them. I know that Peoples do this too and someone told me New World does likewise. Can't comment on 1010, One2Free, 3 or PCCW.

PCCW SMS is also free within the network (or at a very low rate)...

The only network that were not doing free intra network sms were CSL, I believe this is still true for personal accounts. Not sure about their business packages.
