| Hi everyone, I'm looking for a few freelance programmers or interns with PHP/SQL experience for a new project of mine. This will be a initial stage startup venture with so I am looking for entrepreneurial programmers who are open to working freelance/part-time. Equity & Share ownership is possible at a later stage. Requirements - 3+ years experience developing web applications & SQL databases - Experience designing complex databases - Experience working on financial systems or online games are highly desirable - Ability to learn quickly and explore new technology and platforms - Background in economics, virtual world economies or MMOG economies is highly desirable - Highly creative & innovative with strong time management skills - Passion for playing computer games/online games/MMOGs/sports games & simulators - Able to work with a Global Team over Skype & MSN - Good command of English is essential - These positions are open to candidates who are not physically based in Hong Kong Interns without the required experience but have a strong desire to learn are welcome to apply. | Kaen : might want to consider using www.rentacoder.com - there are a few good guys on there and you can test them out with smaller projects. |

| Is this business 101? We all know that more expensive doesn't always mean better quality, but supply & demand dictates that the better can charge more. Considering a field like web programming you need some method of filtering to meet a reasonable quality level and not break the bank. A simple search on google will reveal many thousands of coders from Eastern Europe and India tendering contract work, but you're not going to get a new MySpace for $17 either. | The reality is that I will not be actively seeking funding at this early stage of the start-up and HKD$300-500 will likely break the bank as I would be needing a couple of guys to work pretty much full time for 3 months or so. If u have done the math that works out to be HKD$48,000 - HKD$80,000 a month. That's a little much for a junior/mid level developer don't u think? ![]() And thanks for the help KIA! ![]() Quote:
