I am interested in registering a non limited company. Though it will be only family owned and no formal employees.

go to revenue tower in wanchai...fill in the form for sole-proprietorship company...pay the fee... wait about 30 minutes and then collect the form

Yup, I did it a week ago. 4th floor on Revenue Tower in Wanchai. Fill out the Sole-Pro form, went to the counter, hand in the form and showed HKID. Get a ticket number and wait for them to call that number and pay $2600 in a different queue. You get the license right away after payment. Total time was about 30 mins.
