| Moving to Australia - packing myself?
I'm planning to move to Australia, Perth, early next year, with family. I've asked for a few quotations for moving all our stuff and they vary between 40.000 and 50.000 HKD roughly.
To save some space it seems good to disassemble some of the furniture, but I'm not sure how good the furniture would be after reassembly. Plus there's always the risk of broken things.
So we're considerning shipping only essential stuff like clothes, kids toys and other personal items and buying what we need there.
It should be easy to pack it and ship it ourselves (we've done our packaging and shipping when we first came here and it was ok).
I'm not sure who I should contact though. Has anyone packed and shipped themselves? Advice would be appreciated. |
