I know this is slightly off-topic, but I thought this was a place to start.

I'm based in HK, but need to hire for a IT role in Shanghai. Our office there has been trying to look for candidates using 51job.com, but we need to draw from a greater pool. Does anyone have an experience hiring in Shanghai? What resources did you use?

PS - I'm posting this in the HK forum as the Shanghai forum is closed to postings

are you only hiring applicants from Hongkong only? What about other nationality? like Filipino. my husband is now in hongkong trying his luck to find job in IT firm.

try the career's section of shanghaiexpat.com they use careerengine's software which then syndicates the posting to sites like the AmCham etc .. better quality audience.

When I was working in an IT company in Shanghai, we were quite successful with advertising in 51job.com and zhaopin.com.

Never had a good experience with shanghaiexpat.com's section (nice to see that they've changed it -- it used to be awful), but that was mainly because we weren't hiring expats.

Beyond those two sites, has anyone used any recruiters/headhunters in Shanghai that they would recommend?
