Any recommendations as to where I should head to get the Wii. Am interested in the US version. Also where can I get *cough* cheaper games?

How much can I expect to pay for the US version?

try scouting around computer stores like the one in wndsor house in causeway bay.

i was quoted u.s. version is about 2900 hkd inc. one game, the japanese version is 2200 hkd no game inc.

Golden Arcade at Sham Shui Po may have the best prices as is traditional. They will often sell you copied games but you could download them yourself I am told.

I know this will sound like a dumb question, but which is best to get US version or japan version wii?

Unlikely to live in either country been reading posts put here, but still puzzled. Please help

Apparently the US version is better because it can handle Japanese games whereas the Japanese version has trouble playing some non-Japanese games. That is the main reason why the US version is often more expensive.

Also unless you can read Japanese the US version will be easier to navigate with regards to Miis, shopping and using the internet.

though apparently the Japanese version outsells the US version by a large margain. The price difference is almost 1K.

BTW, the US versions was available for abt 100-150 cheaper at other shops in Golden Arcade - but the total cost of modded machine+additional set of contollers+adapter worked the cheapest at the place I bought at.

So ask around because I got quoted a wide range for each: the machine, controller+nanchuk and modding.

May I clarify something. The US version can't play Japanese games. I have an English verison one myself, it plays English games only.
