Any Germans in Sai Kung / Clearwater Bay

We are a German/Asian expat family and now in HK since beginning of the year and are wondering whether there are any other Germans in the Sai Kung / Clearwater Bay area for some social gathering, drinks or sport activities.

I am also still looking for a tennis partner for training or matches on the weekends in Sai Kung. Anyone interested?

Hello there, I know quite a number of Germans live in Sai Kung. I would like it there, but it's such a far cry from everything and there are only 2 main roads out to civilization. If there's only a minor traffic accident, you are in trouble.

Edit: Aus welcher Ecke in D'land sind Sie denn, wenn man fragen darf?

Hallo Azuremain,
actually, we live in Clearwater Bay and are very happy with the area. Not so far and painful as mentioned, if you are prepared to travel. We like the "community" feeling in Sai Kung, just missing out a bit on the German community and some sports and/or social activities.

Urspruenglich komme ich aus Koblenz, habe aber die letzten 4 Jahre in Kirn (ebenfalls Rheinland Pfalz) zugebracht...

Quite a few Germans out this way.
You into football? There are 2 guys I know who play for a german-based team that live in Sai Kung.

Also a group of general expats playing in Sai Kung on Thurs but fewer Europeans these days - think a lot of the Europeans play at the weekend at Tai Po Tsai.

Well, haven't played football (or what you would also classify as soccer) for years. But why not...a bit sport wound't be too bad afterall.

Cool - chose your pick - the Thurs and Sat sessions are just roll up and join in.

The German team, I'd need to check when and where.

Which you interested in?

You can find Germans at "Poets". A small bar between the wet market and the Honeymoon Dessert.
