I'm moving out to HK early September and want some advice on where to live. I'll be working in central and am looking for a 1 bed flat for around HKD 15-16K per month which I know is not that much but hoping with a bit of advice I can find something. I would consider Kowloon side so long as the commute is easy.

Any suggestions would be a big help

just search in different locations. with that amount of budget you should be able to get a good size flat but not in central area. if you move away from Central area then the price of flats drops a lot and the commute will be only a few stops by MTR. dont bother going to kowloon side unless you dont mind being a Sardine in a can during rush hour in the MTR.
