Cheap accommodation for 7 days?

I have a 3 friends (poor students!) who're coming here to visit me for around a week in late October. Since I can't accomodate them where I live, they'll have to stay elsewhere. Looking at the hotel rates we've found that they will have to pay at least around $7000 for a week, sharing a triple room. It looks like late October is a busy season for the hotels, the rates are much higher than in June-August for example.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for how to spend less on accommodation, a part from the few hostels? Are some serviced apartments available for such a short stay, is it cheaper and worth the savings?

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

The serviced apartments might be cheaper for 3 people.

We've got some hostel rates on

http://www.geoexpat.com/hostels/

Finally, we've got some very competitive rates on

October is peak season .. book early and you might be able to get good rates.

I'll try and find the number of a consolidator who might be able to help you ..

Hi,

May be you can try the serviced apartments offered by the University. As far as I know, the rate for ensuite (two-bed room) is HK$450/night/room. HK$200/night/room for one-bed room. If you interest, you can call at 27391224 for booking. But you must be hurry, their booking is always hot.

Hope this will help.

Chris

U can also try some good guesthouses...such as the Noble Hostel for example in Wanchai...

I have some friends that usually go there and a triple clean room cost about 350 for a night..so for 7 days it won't be more than 2.500 HK$

If you need more info (location, phone number) just ask, no problem...

Hi,
Try this website.
It’s an alternative to the Chungking & Mirador Mansions, grim and filthy generally and a bad security

good luck
