| | | Drivers Hi guys, I have recently just moved back to the orient for good. I'm from Vancouver Canada by the way. I was wondering if you guys know where I can hire a driver that can both drive in Hong Kong and China. It would be for private use. Are there any websites or anything else I should be aware of?
Any help is much appreciated, THANKS!!

| | | So you have a vehicle in Mainland China and in Hong Kong, or do you have a Hong Kong vehicle with dual registration, and a cross border permit ?
If the later, you are one very fortunate person to have been given that rare ability, not something that foreigners would generally be eligible for, not unless $1.5million US of direct mainland investment was involved, or you are leasing a plate/permit from a 3rd party.

Buy a new appartment in Zhuhai for over 1 mio RMB and wait 2-3 years after application and you can get it. And every car can have 3 drivers. They can be everyone but a mainlander, and only the first driver in the list needs to hold a HK-ID. The only problem is that he/she will need a mainland driving license, which is not too difficult to pass (At least not 4 years ago when I did it in Shanghai). It took me a total of 2 hours, including reading the leaflet with the rules/laws.

thanks | It must be Zhuhai, and it must be a new property purchased and it must cost over 1 mio. RMB
Furthermore I am not sure if the rule is still in force. You would need to enquire in Zhuhai. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 11:05 PM.
