Family Accomodation - 2 adults / 2 children

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for help... I am considering a position in Kowloon Tong and I am wondering about accomodation in the area or surrounding areas. I have one child who will attend Australian International School and the other is too young for school (Preschools?).
How much do I expect to pay? etc... Family orientated, safety...
THANKS

SunnySydney, why don't you try Beacon Hill (No.1), which is one of the choice in Kowloon Tong, or there are plenty of apartments in Yau Yat Chuen area.

Lots of pre-schools.

Check Geobaby; search for a thread called something like "SCMP 2007 Good Schools Guide". That person as an e-version of the South China Morning Post Good School Guide.
On your Aussie School, might want to make sure whoever is paying is aware of this:
reception is $57,900
Preparatory to year 6 is $83,000
Year 7-10 is $95,800
Year 11-12 is $100,700
Debentures run $60,000 to $1 million
and the annual capital levy for 2007 was $10,500

Thanks everyone for the input..
I've seen the TUTOR TIME adverts on this web...anyone know if they are any good?

I'll check out the good schools guide - great idea

Any ideas on places to live? near the school or about 20mins in distance...
THANKS

We liked Beacon Hill and Parc Palais when we were looking in that area. Actually like Parc Palais better.

In the process of creating a Preschool list for Kowloon. Should be done by tomorrow. The HK Island list was uploaded earlier today

Debentures run $60,000 to $1 million
and the annual capital levy for 2007 was $10,500...how much am I expected to pay and what exactly am I paying..Ta

In order to secure a spot on the waiting list, you are going to have to pay a debenture and it runs from $60,000 up to $1 million. I imagine the older the child, the higher the deb.
The capital levy is another fee you pay to keep the school in shape.
For some schools you pay one or the other, but the write up on AIS suggests you will pay both.
Plus tuition and, I imagine, various fees and possibly books/supplies/uniform/back pack.
