Has anyone imported a dog from mainland China to Hong Kong? I currently live in Shanghai but might be moving to Hong Kong and, if so, would want to bring my dog with me. It seems, though, that the quarantine for importing dogs from the mainland into Hong Kong is 4 months. Can anyone confirm this? Also, does anyone know how much quarantine is (per day)?

i have made enquiries through agents and its 4 months quarantine from china and there are 2 quarantine facilities you can choose from. One in TST and one in HK island however space is limited so you need to book way in advance. As for the cost, the agent quoted me HKD 90 per day.

thanks. i got the same information from the AFCD - HK$90 a day, 4 months and a 2-3 month waiting list to get into a facility.
