Please advice on a short-term stay

Hello,

I will come to HK for 5-10 days. Last time I had to stay in very remote hostels (Mt. David) and in the super not fun Kowloon ChunNing Mansions. I really don't want to repeat that experience. Does someone have an alternative?
Maybe I could stay with somebody at a real apartment, pay some money?
