Would like to know if people have any sources for the cheapest roundtrip ticket HKG-LON. I don't mind which airport I end up going to but the idea is that I'm thinking of surprising my boyfriend, who's on an extended business trip, by going out to see him during one of the weekends in Aug (e.g. fly on Fri 3rd, return Sunday 5th.)

So I'm trying to find some cheap tickets that would do the trick. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!!

yeah, definitely go for Oasis Hong Kong if you want cheap tickets; but you are unlikely going to get the cheapest ones available since it might be a bit 'late' now and August is the peak season. Go for the Hong Kong website rather than the U.K. one.

I went on lastminute.com.hk and the oasis tickets go for $2686 (something like that) for roundtrip. Have people booked from lastminute like this? Is it reliable? And what about tax and other additional payments. Included, not included, and if not, how much more is tagged to the basic price?

One of the options I suggest is to go to the official website:

Once you enter all the dates leaving and returning, you will find all the tickets available. I just looked at the info there for you, there are still economy tickets for journey to London but not back. There you will also find info w.r.t. the tax and fuel surcharge.

In order to get the cheapest ticket, I will urge you to be flexible in terms of the dates where possible.

Sorry I don't know much about the lastminute.com. But I think $2686 unlikely includes the tax/surcharge since tax/surcharge itself costs close to HKD2000 and cheapest single flight ticket costs at least HKD1000.

For comparison, also try the travel agents in HK, such as Hong Thai, Wing On, Morning Star etc.
