| opening investment account Does anybody know of any bank in Hk that will allow you to open an investment account without a HKID? I believe inorder to have an investment account in HK, it must be associated with your HKID. Correct me if I am wrong.  |

| Many of the offshore bank type setups will open the account without a HKID -- includes HSBC International and a few others .. I think even Citi will open an account without a HKID. All depends on how much you want to deposit and invest and your nationality. |
