I heard that Asia's largest water park is just over the border somewhere in Guangdzou (sp?). Has anyone been there or know how I can get there and/or find out more?

It's in Panyu, Guangzhou... heard its China's largest not sure about asia's largest but wont be suprised if it is too

I'm going to Guangzhou on the 27th of this month to watch Manchester United play in an exhibition match, I might go check the water park out while I'm there.

I just read many people complained the Chimelong Waterpark. They let everyone going in, didn't control the crowds. Too crowded, not enough lockers. Wait in line foever for water games.

The hotel and the zoo are good though.

Well, I have now been to Chimelong Water park. We went on a Sunday which was a huge mistake. We got the earliest KCR from Hung Hom to Guangzhou then transfered onto the metro. It was simple enough but took about 3 1/2 hours. We got there at 11am and it was already mental. As above, too many people, no lockers, very hot, hour-long queues on all the rides.

In the park's defence, the rides were excellent and I'd never seen anything like most of them. I'd only try again on a week day. I'd perhaps take advantage of the multipass deals they have for hotel, theme park, water park, cicus, crocodile park etc.

I liked the rides there & trued almost all of them,although I spent around 1 hour waiting/each spot.
I went on Tuesday and there were maaanyyy people. Can't imagine what's happening on the weekends! Still needed to queu up. The smell is awful in the changing room. It seems they're mixin a toilet/changin there!!
