Airsoft gear I am planning on starting air soft I have made A list of gear I want to get for some war gaming. Gun: Double eagle hand cocking CA870 CQB M47 Fps: around 330fps Length of gun is 51 cm I am going to upgrade it my self by giving it a stronger spring and a longer barrel. this will only cost me around $120 hkd + upgrades. This is the first gun as you can see it’s a cheap one that will probably jam up but I have done a lot of research and found that a lot of people use this type of gun in war gaming so it should be good. I have already got a mask but to I need boots of can I were my sneakers?

Hi there, sounds like you missed the evolution of Airsoft for couple of decades. Nobody's shooting with single fire hand-cocking cheapos anymore. This is the 21st century mate and we shoot with gas or electric guns - no need to break your hand for each shot. And believe it or not even full auto and burst fire modus been available for many many many years.

If that's all you can afford, I say go for it. Just be careful. Sneakers are fine. When you get a little older, you can spring for camouflage, a good quality electric rifle and SWAT boots. I personally love Japanese gas pistols. Unfortunately, I find it hard to find anyone who'd like to battle with me in an indoor/urban environment. I like the realism of having a pistol shootout. I even have a leather holster I had sent from the US for my Marui Glock 17. The realism is amazing. I can't believe how real the Marui Glocks look and feel. Even the internals are designed to replicate the real thing. Last edited by jayinhongkong; 19-07-2007 at 11:37 PM.

Being a airsoft player myself, I would recommend for your first AEG, Get the M16A2, talking from my own one, its by far one of the best guns I've owned, the barrel is one of the longest you can get on a current AEG, it falls short to the PSG-1 (sniper rifle) and the durability is pretty good with modifications ofcourse. As for Gear, I strongly recommend you get yourself a pair of camo clothes, only costs around 200 or soo depending on quality and make, as well as a nice pair of black (preferred) Boots, If your on a tight budget..pop down to shenzen and pick em up for less than 150 Here's a Low down of my gear: Marui M16A2 Slightly over 1.9 Joules, With scope although I have not found the time to buy a mount, Heavy Duty precision barrel, new hop-up, and reinforced pistons in all cost me around 3500 Incl Upgrades Normal Wood Camo pat BDU from M1 - Cost me around 200. 2 Vests, One being a conventional alice Y Strap from 1960's and the other a full body Vest with M16 Mag pouches and Mp5 pouches. - $500 Stalhelm (german style helmet) - $100 Smith and Wesson- 9mm Gun (over 20 years old) - Free and 2 Pairs of CATS (jungle and black) I use em for everyday wear as well.

Check out Dundas Street, it's on Nathan Road between Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok. There are most of the shops.
